Literature Text

She cries at night
With a hand to her mouth
Muffling the noises
So they won't come out

She cries at night
When she's alone
For there is no greater fear
Than that someone would know

She cries at night
As she rests her mask
She'll polish it later
It's her least favorite task

She cries at night
When she can no longer feel strong
Her large heart is breaking
In her mind she's alone

She cries at night
While she stays up in bed
For if she rests her eyes
Dark images will conjure in her head

She cries at night
So she can stand tall through the day
With a large fixed smile
Plastered across her face

She cries at night
When the whispers seem loud
She fights not to give in
But slowly she's forgetting how

She cries at night
With hands clenched in fists
Because it's better for her palms to sting
Then seeing blood trail across her wrist

She cries at night
Till she knocks herself unconscious
No one would recognize her
If they ever happened to watch it

She cries at night
So maybe she can keep living
Just for a while longer
But day by day she's giving in

She cries at night
As she writes one last note
The ink becomes smeared
On her tears she does choke

She didn't cry that night
As she slowly bled out
Finally she could rest, just once
Without a single drop sliding out
Derp. This is a rather depressing poem, but I kinda like it >w> Meh.

I find it kind of heartbreaking to picture someone who can only cry at night, someone suffering in silence. It's... pathetic, almost. Sad, really >->

Well, hope you liked it anyway~
